The global trend towards knowledge-based economies brings a great opportunity for Hong Kong to reveal its potential in the IP arena. As a renowned Asian financial center and RMB offshore center, with a sound legal framework for IP protection and litigation, Hong Kong is in perfect position to become an international hub for IP commercialization, connecting China and the rest of the World.

We are pleased to had invited guest speakers from prestigious organizations and companies including the State Intellectual Property Office, Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department, Hewlett-Packard and Tynax. In the Conference, the international IP experts shared their insights into:

(1) International standards of IP valuation, (2) Technology transfers, (3) IP management in international mergers and acquisitions, (4) IP quality and enforceability improvement–dos and don'ts of IP registration, (5) How to turn IP from intangible assets to tangible value, and (6) Development of an IP strategy for the global market.

The discussions provided viable solutions to industry practitioners, bankers, investors, entrepreneurs, inventors and IP professionals. Around 200 delegates who represent international organizations, government departments, professional institutions, industrial associations and companies relating to technology and intellectual property industries attended the two-day conference. Our audience included IP business stakeholders and participants from the United States, Europe, Hong Kong, Guangdong and Asian regions such Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. In the end,the Conference had offered invaluable networking opportunities for participants to reach potential customers and strategic partners.
